Before you begin
It is a digital family yearbook system that you personalize in Canva. You add your photographs and words, then export your finished album for printing with your chosen provider. A physical book and printing costs are not included.
The system includes editable Canva yearbook layouts, monthly dividers, bonus pages, photo-planning tools, caption prompts, a detailed yearbook manual, and access to the exclusive Story Writing Assistant with 300 successful AI page drafts included. You bring your own photographs and memories; the design, structure, and guidance are already thoughtfully built in.
No—a free Canva account is all you need to personalize the included template. Add your own photographs and use the supplied layouts to make the yearbook yours.
No design experience is needed. The layouts and monthly structure give you a starting point, and the included manual guides you through adding photos, editing text, and making the pages your own. Work through the year at your own pace.
Open the assistant inside Canva on a supported Gather The Days template page. Share what happened, with optional details about who was there, what you want to remember, and how it felt. The assistant helps shape your notes into wording for that page. Review, edit, and apply the story when you are ready.
Your purchase includes an individual access code, sent through your Etsy order conversation after your order is reviewed. Enter it once in the assistant inside Canva, using the account and team you intend to use for your yearbook. Keep using that account and team when you return. If you need help finding your code, contact us through your Etsy order.
Your yearbook system includes 300 successful AI page drafts. Each successful draft or rewrite uses one credit and includes the wording the assistant creates for that page. Manual edits, Apply, Undo, Reset, and reopening saved drafts use no credits. Failed generation does not use a credit.
Yes. Your memory notes, AI suggestions, and story edits are saved separately for each page of your workbook. Wait for “Saved to your workbook” before closing the assistant. Return to the same workbook using the same Canva account and team to continue. A new copy of the workbook has its own assistant drafts.
Your memories are the starting point. The assistant uses a warm, thoughtful editorial voice, guided by the details and expressions you share. There is room for humor, everyday rituals, and bittersweet memories as well as happy occasions. You review every suggestion and can change the wording before it reaches your album. You always have the final say.
Follow the included manual to review your pages and export your album from Canva as a PDF Print file. Check your chosen printer’s size, page-count, bleed, and upload requirements before ordering. Printing is arranged separately, and we recommend reviewing a proof copy before ordering more.
The assistant works with supported Gather The Days yearbook templates and their page layouts. It is not designed for unrelated Canva templates or designs you create from scratch. You can still personalize your supported yearbook with your own photographs and words.
